Back on skis after two weeks. Got a horrible cold /flu. So as a reminder to everyone. Wash your hands and eat plenty of good food. I hate being sick. i usually get sick when i visit the U.S. If anyone has a good suggestion for easy ways to stay health while away from home. Help me out.
Anywise, the competition was a lot of fun. That week was really good for weather. and that thursday night it was suppose to snow. lucky me. It waited till late that night. Skiing in the pipe at night is tuff enough. It was so different from every other time i skied to compete. An hour before getting to copper. My good friend Patrick. (the swedish slope style captain.) Was able to help be there for me and give me real good advise. The info was real import to me, especially now when I’m practicing. But as for my first run that counted. I feel like i had soooo much to think about, that it effected me in a bad way. There was just so much going through my head. that i had to listen to some Turbo Negro. Its one of my easier ways to just drop everything. Feel the feeling of losing nothing. So for my second run, i started off great and ended it with a bang. Got nice air on all of my hits. Made everything look clean and the crowd loved it. I was the only one to do a hand plant. My first run i kinda lost it and it wasn’t so nice. But that was my bang for the second run. Although i couldn’t make a grab with it. I think it really matted to make me unique. Out of 36 girls, i placed 22nd. And i would like to add. i only had four days to practice before the comp. Some of these girls are skiing all year. So thinking of this. I feel like i am a pretty good skier. But i want to be better.
Next week was Christmas. And i hope every one had a wonderful time. This was unfortunately when i was sick. But it was still a fantastic time. Couldn’t of been happier, to of had a lot of good people around me. But next year i will be spending the holidays back home in Sweden. Now being up to date, it is the New Year. And yesterday i got the chance to end the year at another wonderful hot spring with Cody. It is Mount Princeton Hot springs and it is a great place to spend an after noon. Being a holiday, it was a little busy. but not as bad as we thought it might be. Our timing to get there was perfect. Saw a nice sunset and meet some really awesome people. A real nice couple who lived in the Vail area. Right away we were sharing some good laughs and couldn’t be happier to of had some good company. We made our way back to Breckenridge in time to see some firework and enjoy the rest of 2013. So until next time. Have fun every one.
